Robert Kirkman Tours 'The Walking Dead' Prison Set

A new season of The Walking Dead is set to return to television on October 14th (unless you have Dish Network, that is) which is a little more than just a month away. Crazy how time flies! WALKING DEAD creator Robert Kirkman recently took a trip to the set of The Walking Dead and got a first hand look at the prison that will appear in the series' third season.

"I'm standing in the prison for The Walking Dead and it's everything I hoped for it to be. I really don't even know what to do right now...I'd never imagined I would be here, standing in this prison its really strange to think about all the pages coming in from Charlie 8 years ago..."

What a surreal feeling that must be! Imagine coming up with a crazy story, and seeing it come to life for a television show almost a decade later. If you recall in the comics, the first volume of THE WALKING DEAD ended with the arrival at the prison, and that's when things started to get really crazy. It will be interesting to see how much of the show will stay true to the events that unfold in the comic book. It's also pretty neat to see how the creators behind the show did their best to really capture the feel and the environment of the prison. From what we can see based on Kirkman's tour, things look pretty scary. What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing the third season of The Walking Dead this October on AMC?

Unfortunately, fans who have Dish Network will be unable to catch the upcoming season. If you want AMC and you subscribe to DISH, be sure to contact your provider and let them know.
