It's hard to believe that the first part of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns was released back in September. The first movie contained the first two volumes of the miniseries. Today Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released some information about the upcoming release.
Michael Emerson (Person of Interest, Lost) and Mark Valley (Human Target, Fringe) join the voice cast as Joker and Superman. Peter Weller continues as Bruce Wayne/Batman. It will be available as a Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP), DVD ($19.98 SRP) and On Demand & Digital Download. The Blu-ray will include UltraViolet.
The Blu-ray will have more than two hours of content including a sneak peek at the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Superman: Unbound. There will be an all-new featurette, "The Joker: Laughing in the Face of Death" giving a tribute to the character, a new documentary "Superman vs. Batman: When Heroes Collide, a featurette on the animatic breakdown of five of director Jay Oliva's favorite moments, two bonus episodes from Batman: The Animated Series ("The Last Laugh" and "The Man Who Killed Batman") and one from The New Batman Adventures ("Legends of the Dark Knight") chosen by producer Alan Burnett.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 will be released on January 29, 2013.
