Don't be sad. The headline is a little misleading.
I'm not actually retiring from writing... but I do plan on going to bed every night reading Renae De Liz's adaptation of PETER PAN, as soon as it comes out!
Yes, that's right -- the same Kickstarter sensation that brought you WOMANTHOLOGY is back to her drawing table working day and night producing a nearly 100-page full color graphic novel adaptation of PETER PAN! This is only the first of three parts, and you get to get in on the ground floor -- how exciting is that?
Now, I've personally worked with Renae and her inking/coloring husband before on JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT'S THE MUSIC BOX and I can tell you not only is she incredibly talented, she is all around a genuinely awesome person. (Remember, this is the same woman who came up the idea for WOMANTHOLOGY and through sheer force of will helped turn her vision into one of KICKSTARTER's most successful projects ever!)
I love that Renae is once again eschewing the bigger publishing companies and taking her wares directly to the people who appreciate her the most. And I love that she's putting her talents towards a classic like PETER PAN, bringing all the wonder and excitement of Peter and Wendy and Hook and the Lost Boys to future generations for years to come!
Now you'll notice that with three days to go she has already hit her funding goal, but she's racing towards her stretch goal and I want to support her in her efforts. Because as the Internet can surely attest, Renae De Liz rocks!
