You might recall back in February we spotlighted a Kickstarter project by the late Jason Coffee. Jason had a big idea he had for the big screen but he died at 33 after a surgery to remove a tumor from his brain. His friends were determined to help his project move forward by converting it to the comics medium, another big passion of Jason's. We mentioned that Billy Tan was involved and was providing the cover but there has been an update on the interior art.
Joel Gomez, as you may know, is a friend of Comic Vine. He's often featured in our weekly Awesome Art Picks feature and enjoys taking part in the Mystery Art Challenges at conventions. Joel has been working on the interior for issue #1. A preview has been posted over on the Kickstarter page and here's a couple pages as well.

These should give you more of a feel of what the comic is about. Of course you can visit the Kickstarter page to find out more about the story and how you can help. At this moment, they are just over four thousand short of the $21,000 goal.
Joel is also contributing to the incentives. For the $105 backers, you get the first issue plus an original 11x17 commission of the good guys Weapon or Maelstrom or the bad girl Muse (seen below). It's not fully clear if this incentive is limited and it's not listed as being sold out.

There are plenty of other incentives as well. While we're still talking about Joel, he also has an incentive at the $350 level. You can get a 9x12 pencil-and-ink commission of ANY CHARACTER of your choice. There are still four of these left. This incentive is limited. Here's an example:

If you don't have a few hundred dollars to spare, even just give a few bucks will help the project. A $10 will help fund the project and get you a PDF copy of the first issue. Check out the Kickstarter page for more information. Only nine days left!
