Each week we gather up the greatest comic book art that will not be appearing in actual comics. The reason they won't is because artists do sketches for fun or commissions and post them on their websites, blogs and Tumblrs. Some artists even arrange commissions through their sites.
Mike Deodato posted several new sketches and commissions on his Tumblr. It's not clear how recent these are but that's not too important. Let's just look at how good they are.

Todd Nauck will be at SDCC this coming week. Check out his UNCANNY AVENGERS cover and classic Kitty Pryde, posted on his Tumblr.

Tony Daniel will also be at SDCC and is set to be on our live stream with Gamespot next Saturday. You'll want to check that out for certain reasons. Here's some sketches he posted on his Instagram.

Brett Booth posted his take on Elongated Man on his blog this week. Also, I somehow missed his Superman sketch from the week before...(Sorry Brett!)

Robert Atkins posted some new art on his blog. Captain America was colored by Alonzo Espinosa and Deadpool by Logicfun.

Skottie Young posted several Daily Sketches on his site. How can we make him drawing a Harry Potter comic happen?

Peter Nguyen will be at SDCC. He posted a few new sketches on his Tumblr this week. He's also taking pre-commissions for SDCC. Here's what he said:
Please email me at ink4884 at gmail.com with sdcc2013 in the header. Let me know if you want a head, bust or full figure and I’ll give you a quote. I would prefer to do them before the show at my house, just more colors :)

Agnes Garbowska will also be at SDCC. She posted some recent sketches on her Tumblr. She'll be at Table HH-18.

Philip Tan posted some new art on his Facebook page.

Daniel HDR posted a John Stewart commission on his Tumblr.

Ron Salas posted another cool Doctor Strange pic on his site this week.

If you're on Twitter and you love comics, you're likely following Jim Steranko's feed (@iamsteranko). Things get a little crazy on Twiiter at times but let's just say that Phil Noto was inspired to draw and post this Steranko/Skarknado pic on his Tumblr.

Chris Giarrusso posted a sketch of one of his characters, Cool Wraps on his website. If you're not familiar with him, you really should check out the G-MAN comics.

Gene Gonzales posted this Supergirl sketch on his blog. It's up for auction on eBay.

Francis Manapul was at The Comic Lounge raising funds for the Joe Shuster Awards on July 10. Here's a Superman sketch he posted on his Tumblr.

Marcio Takara posted some commissions on his Tumblr. They're pretty breath-taking. His commission list is open. You can email him at mtakaraart@yahoo.com for more information.

That's it for this week. Comic-Con is this coming week. There may not be an installment during and I still haven't decided if we'll have a Mystery Art Challenge. Keep an eye out.
